On Assignment | Tokyo

It’s been pretty manic – in one week I’ve flown to Berlin, Tokyo and was meant to go straight on to Sydney until the shoot was cancelled at the very last hurdle.
One of my clients on the commercial side of my work is Madame Tussauds, and there are a team of just 3 of us photographers at Madame Tussauds HQ who travel around the world photographing celebrities for their sculptors to spend months working from.
Sadly due to confidentiality agreements, I am never able to display any of my photographs of these celebrities, or even disclose their name, to ensure I don’t spoil the big unveiling in a few months’ time. Having spent more time in airport lounges and studios than city streets, I have little to show for my time away! I managed to escape for 3 hours at the end of the shoot, buy an Oyster card equivalent and potter around Tokyo earlier this week though, before flying home again.

Those of you who know me are already aware of my severe chocolate addiction. I’m ashamed to say I eat chocolate at least once a day! Well, whilst walking back to my hotel, stumbling across this cafe that only sells chocolate, called The 100% Chocolate Cafe, was like finding my oasis. Pure heaven!
